Gallery Information
Bird’s Gallery was established in November 2001 by artists Brigita La and Vaidas Zvirblis, both born and artistically trained in Europe. Their background enables them to have connections with a large range of international art world figures, to source unique art pieces and to represent contemporary artists from overseas, including Lithuania, Finland, Germany, UK and South Africa. Together with local Australian artists, Bird’s gallery currently collaborates with over 50 artists, and continuously welcomes new exhibiting artists.
Bird’s Gallery commits to exhibiting and promoting emerging and established contemporary artists working in a wide range of medium: paintings, graphic works on paper, sculpture and ceramics, as well as jewelery and photography. What Bird’s gallery values in art is the uniqueness and individuality, supported by professional artistic skills and sensibility, the “savoir faire”. Each of the gallery’s artists works within a different range of concepts and themes, but they all share artistic professionalism and originality.
In 2012 the gallery was renovated and now is filled with lots of light and contemporary vibe, representing quality artworks in a friendly and professional environment. The gallery is situated on the High street of historical and well established suburb of Kew , that was recently heritage listed. It is surrounded by many cafes and restaurants, and has an old Courthouse, 19th century botanic garden and the old Anglican stone church as the other attractions to look around.
